Woman hit by e-scooter near McDonald’s in Stone Street, Gravesend

A woman has been taken to hospital after she was hit by someone riding an electric scooter.
Police officers and paramedics were called to Gravesend town centre just before 1pm on Thursday to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and rider.
They attended but the rider had fled the scene before officers arrived.
A witness said they saw multiple police cars just before 2pm parked near McDonald’s.
A search is now underway as police make inquires to identify and locate them.
The woman was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to hospital for further checks.
Her injuries are not described as life-threatening.
The emergency services are still in attendance and Stone Street has been closed to traffic.
