An amateur MMA fighter left his neighbour with fractures after jumping a fence and repeatedly punching him on the ground with “at least 10 blows”.
Damien Forgie viciously attacked and punched Billy Stokes near their homes in Gravesend in April and left him with fractures.
A judge heard the 36-year-old hoisted himself over a fence to get to Mr Stokes.
He later admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm when he appeared in court in October.
At the time, Forgie, of Valley Lane, Meopham, was bailed and a pre-sentencing report was ordered to be carried out on him before he was sentenced.
However, when the thug appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on November 19, Deputy District Judge Nicola Fleck heard the report had not been completed in time for the hearing.
James Nichols, prosecuting, said: “This was a 32-second incident on April 7, which involved him repeatedly punching the man on the ground.
“It was at least 10 blows and resulted in fractures and he had jumped over a fence and pinned him to the ground.”
Judge Fleck decided the case was too serious to be heard in the lower court and sent Forgie’s case to Maidstone Crown Court so he could be sentenced there.
She told him that he would be notified by post of the date of his sentencing hearing and granted him bail until then.
It was not stated during the hearing why Forgie attacked Mr Stokes.
