A Morris dancing side has been forced to cancel a performance at a primary school because its members wear black face paint.

Motley Morris, who rehearse in Dartford, were told their traditional make-up made them unsuitable for a multi-cultural song and dance event at Chantry Primary School, in Gravesend.

The group said it was "disappointed" by the reaction at the school, whose headteacher called it a "difficult but well intended decision".
