Emergency services have rushed to the aid of a motorcyclist injured in a crash on the A2.
Kent Air Ambulance, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and Kent Police are at the scene of the incident which happened on the London bound carriageway just after the Pepper Hill junction.
The incident is blocking the carriageway causing severe tailbacks during the rush hour. The coast bound carriageway has also been temporarily slowed while the air ambulance lands.
Yesterday (Monday) an overturned lorry closed four lanes of the A2 during rush hour.
The incident took place shortly after 5.30pm on the London bound carriageway just after the Tollgate junction at Gravesend.
All lanes heading London bound had to be closed after the lorry shed its load and drivers were warned to avoid the area.
Surrounding roads in Northfleet, Cobham and Greenhithe also saw heavy increases in traffic as did the M2 motorway in Medway.
