Multi-vehicle crash on A2 near Gravesend causes delays as three lanes close

A multi-vehicle crash on the A2 closed three lanes of the carriageway while the emergency services deal with the incident.
According to Highways England, three of the four lanes of the coastbound carriageway were closed as a result of the collision.
It is not known at this stage if anyone is seriously injured in the smash which happened between the A227 Gravesend turn-off and the M2 at Strood.
Kent Police’s roads unit were at the scene and motorists were advised of delays on approach to the collision.
