She has been in the child caring business for more than 20 years and now she has opened her own nursery.

For Marie Gleadow, it’s an ambition fulfilled as the doors opened for the first time at Wellington Day Nursery in Wellington Street, Gravesend.

“Having my own business has been a dream of mine for a long time and now I’m living it,” said 39-year-old Marie.

The nursery currently has three staff and will be taking in children from three months to five years.

“I want it to be a home from home experience and a very friendly environment,” said Miss Gleadow.

“Parents leave us with the most precious thing in the world and we can provide that confidence. I’m very passionate about what I do - providing fun and learning.”
