For the first time in their history, Old Gravesendians will play their rugby in the London Leagues.
OGs edged out Uckfield 10-5 in Saturday’s play-off to earn promotion to London League Division 4 South East.
Richard Oxtoby’s early penalty gave OGs the lead which Ricky Harding increased with a try that Oxtoby converted to make the score 10-0.
Uckfield dominated the second half and replied with a try, forcing OGs to cling on for a torrid final 30 minutes.
On Sunday, OGs rounded off a memorable weekend by beating Gillingham Anchorians 42-5 in the Kent Vase second round.
