Peter Andre has made a long awaited return to the Gravesham Riverside Festival.
He headlined the popular event, staged at Gravesend Promenade, which returned today for the first time since before the pandemic.
Best known for his ‘90s singles, such as Number 1 hits Mysterious Girl, Flava and I Feel You, the British-Australian singer has been a familiar face in the charts and on television for more than three decades.
He found tabloid fame after entering the jungle for the third season of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2004, where he met fellow reality star Katie Price.
The two began a relationship outside of the I’m a Celebrity camp, during which time they married and had two children together, Junior and Princess.
He said: "I feel great to be here but what I love is that when people are finally allowed to do this, they come in their droves.
"Everybody's here, they're all ready to celebrate. The weather's nice, it's not too hot it's not cold - it's the perfect temperature.
"For me to be able to come and do this, it's an honour to be headlining, of course it is. What a great way to come back after such a weird two years."
The free festival also saw performances from tribute acts such as Elite Elton and ABBA Revival, as well as many local bands.
Each year, the Riverside Festival also includes children’s activities, sports games, craft stalls and food and drink stands.
This year’s festival has been postponed since 2020 due to the pandemic.
The last time that the festival welcomed visitors was in 2019, which saw ‘00s group Liberty X stop off in the town for their headline set.
