Police arrest men in New Ash Green after reports of shop theft

Officers were called to Redhill Wood, New Ash Green, at around 10am yesterday, after it was reported two men had stolen alcohol from a shop and had been acting suspiciously near a van.
Police searched the area and stopped a 40-year-old man from Erith and 47-year-old man of no fixed address in Lambardes.
Both were arrested at 11.10am on suspicion of burglary, interference with a motor vehicle and theft.
A quantity of jewellery and cash was also seized.
They remain in police custody while the investigation is on-going.
