Two teenagers, arrested after a man was stabbed in the shoulder in Gravesend yesterday morning, have been released on bail.
The 18-year-old men were being quizzed by detectives on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent
Kent Police said the pair, from the town, have now been bailed until Monday, September 16.
Police closed Windmill Street after the stabbing in a basement flat.
Officers were called after a man suffered a shoulder wound in Windmill Street at about 11.45am. He is not believed to have been seriously injured.
Yesterday, a Kent Police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 11.45am today to reports of a possible assault in Windmill Street, Gravesend.
"Officers attended and spoke to a man who had a suspected stab wound to his shoulder.
"His injuries are described as not life-threatening and he remains in a stable condition."
Windmill Street was closed at the junction with Zion Street and the junction of Clarence Place.
The man with a wound to his shoulder was being treated by a paramedic.
At 2pm, five police vehicles were still at the scene although the area was no longer cordoned off and both vehicles and pedestrians were being allowed to pass.
Police tape sectioning off the pavement outside a property had been removed.
The incident happened in a basement flat of a three-storey terraced house. By the time landlord Russ Basra arrived, the area was already cordoned off.
Speaking outside the building, the 41-year-old said he did not believe the victim was seriously injured.
He said: "I wasn't here when it happened. Someone phoned me and I came down and found all this was cordoned off."
