Dispersal order issued for Gravesend town centre after concerns over antisocial behaviour
09:17, 28 September 2024
A police dispersal order has been put in place across a town centre over the weekend.
It comes after concerns from residents in Gravesend over reported antisocial behaviour.
The enforcement started at 7 pm on Friday and will run until 7 pm Sunday.
It will cover the Imperial Retail Park in Thames Ways and Gravesend Town Centre including the Promenade and Milton Road.
A dispersal order gives officers additional powers to pursue anyone causing a nuisance and, if necessary, arrest those who return to the area.
