A suspect was found hiding under a tree thanks to a police dog named Chewy and a helicopter.
They were called into action after two men fled from a car in Northfleet that was being chased by police in the early hours.
The vehicle had failed to stop at about 3.20am today.
It was chased to Ebbsfleet Walk in Northfleet where the men tried to run off.
A 37-year-old man from London was detained on suspicion of failing to stop, theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving.
When he was arrested, a police constable was assaulted and patrols found more than £1,000 cash in the car.
The second man was chased by police on foot, with the help of PD Chewy and the force helicopter.
A police spokesman said: "The suspect was seen jumping over a high fence and into an area of shrubland where he was eventually located hiding under a tree.
"The 28-year-old, of no fixed address, was found to be in possession of cocaine, more than £200 in cash and several mobile phones.
"All the items were seized and he was also arrested for the theft of a motor vehicle and for possession with intent to supply class A drugs."
Both suspects have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
