Hartley: Rising pop star HRVY releases new smash hit, Hasta Luego

00:01, 06 May 2018

With 2.8 million Instagram followers and a brand-new summer single, rising pop star HRVY has come a long way from the tiny village where he grew up.

Despite dropping his new track, Hasta Luego, just two days ago, the tune is already sitting at number three in the iTunes Charts.

Released by HRVY alongside fellow teen performer, Malu, the tropical duet is set to become one of this year's top summer soundtracks.

The 19-year-old singer, who is originally from Hartley, has experienced a rapid rise to fame since he began building his social media profile at the age of 12.

The former Leigh Technology Academy pupil posted covers of popular hits online, paving his way to internet stardom.

HRVY was catapulted into the spotlight in 2013 when his work was spotted by East 17 singer Blair Dreelan.

Since then, the teenager has been snapped up by global music label Universal.

Currently on tour supporting The Vamps on their UK arena tour, HRVY will embark on his own tour dates in Australia this May.

His very own UK tour will follow this summer.

Speaking to kmfm on The Hit List earlier this year, HRVY said: "I'm actually from Hartley, a little village.

"It's really nice and I've grown up there my whole life.

"I live in Windsor now with a few of my friends in an apartment, and I'm in LA and London quite a lot, so I don't really get to go home a lot, but I've still got my wardrobe there and my bed and all that kind of stuff."

Speaking about the biggest differences between Hartley and LA, HRVY described the lack on sun and traffic in his former home.

He joked: "I think there's about four cars that go up and down my road [in Hartley] every week, there's hardly anything, no traffic."

Hasta Luego is out now, and available on iTunes and Spotify.
