A MAN who allegedly exposed himself and performed a sexual act in front of a teenager on a train is being sought by police.
British Transport Police (BTP) officers are investigating the complaint of indecent exposure, which came from an 18-year-old woman on a train travelling from Northfleet to London Bridge.
detective constable Andy Parkinson said the woman was sitting by herself on Tuesday, March 31, when she was approached by a man who tried to strike up a conversation.
He added: “He then exposed himself and proceeded to commit a lewd act on himself in front of her.”
The man is described as European in appearance, aged about 30, and with medium build. He was wearing a white shirt, light zip-up style jacket and carrying a black lap-top style bag. It is believed he may have connections with the Crayford and Lewisham areas.
Police have issued a image of a man, taken outside Crayford station, who they want to talk to in connection with the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP on 0800 405040, quoting B3 of 06/05/2009.
