Second man dies after crash on A2 between Gravesend and Cobham

A second person has died after a fatal crash on the A2.
Officers were called at around 4.15pm on Friday, May 31, after a collision between a lorry and a van on the coastbound carriageway near Cobham.
Two lorries were parked on the hard shoulder when, for unknown reasons, a white Mercedes Sprinter van collided with one of the lorries.
The driver of the lorry received minor injuries, however the driver of the van, a 50-year-old man died at the scene.
The passenger, a 20-year-old man, received serious injuries and was taken to a London hospital by air ambulance.
He died on Tuesday, June 4.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are renewing their appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicles beforehand to call the SCIU witness appeal line on 01622 798538, or email sciu.td@kent.police.uk quoting EX/HG/058/24
