Gravesend firefighters tackle fire which destroyed seven cars

Seven cars were destroyed in a fire in Gravesend last night.
Two fire engines from Gravesend and one from Strood attended the blaze on Wharf Road at 9.15pm.
The blaze caught hold of nine vehicles including a van and two lorries.
Firefighters at the scene said the cars were totally destroyed and they were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby industrial unit.
Crews were there for three hours to control the flames.
No one was injured and the cause of the fire was unknown and is being treated as suspicious.
