Cocaine smuggling ring suspects from Tunbridge Wells, Bexleyheath, Meopham and Sevenoaks charged

Six people have been charged as part of a suspected multi-million pound cocaine ring.

The charges come after officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate carried out search warrants on Wednesday at several addresses in Kent and arrested six people.

Detectives have been investigating the importation and onward supply of cocaine with a suspected street value of several million pounds.

James Hazel, of Bluebell Walk, Tunbridge Wells, and Seaman Anderson, of Thirlmere Road, Bexleyheath, have now both been charged with conspiracy to import cocaine, conspiracy to supply cocaine and acquiring criminal property.

Grant Culwick, of Cheyne Walk, Meopham, and Lee Osborne, of Morewood Close, Sevenoaks, have been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and acquiring criminal property.

John Thorpe, of Aisher Road, Greater London, has been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and converting and transferring criminal property.

Sally-Ann Bowers, 39, of Thirlmere Road, Bexleyheath, has been charged with converting and transferring criminal property.

Hazel and Anderson, both 43, Osborne, 40, Culwick, 38 and Thorpe, aged 39, all appeared before Maidstone Magistrates’ Court where they were remanded to appear before Woolwich Crown Court on Thursday, November, 4.

Bowers was bailed upon charge and is due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, November 5.
