The Gravesend Historical Society is offering locals a blast from the past, with an opportunity to see and hear more about its various artefacts.
On Tuesday, January 15 at the Blake Gallery in Gravesend Civic centre, display tables and photo boards will be on show from 12.30pm to 4pm.
The event will also feature a quiz and appearance from Lynda Smith, the author of 'Fun and Frivolity: 19th Century Amusements in Gravesend'.
Retiree Lynda, from Northfleet, spoke to the Gravesend Messenger last July, describing the period from 1800 to 1900 as "Gravesend's 'Golden Age'".
Her book documents the sudden influx of day trippers from London at the time, alongside the amusements they enjoyed.
Entry to the exhibition is free. For more information, contact 01474 363998.
