Tamera Foster was labelled a “superstar” by judges as she flew through to the next stage of the X Factor.
The teenager from Gravesend, performed Emeli Sande’s ‘Beneath Your Beautiful’ on the ITV singing contest on Saturday night.
Taking place in front of a live studio audience in London, the theme on this week’s show was love and heartbreak.
The 16-year-old impressed judges with her flawless performance of Sande’s ballad, with Gary Barlow in particular gushing over her rendition.
The former Take That singer compared Tamera to the global pop stars that perform on the Sunday episodes of the show.
He said:”I think for the first time tonight, the public are really going to see what we’ve all seen as judges and that’s a superstar on the stage.”
Nicole Scherzinger, the judge in charge of Tamera’s ‘the girls’ category, was also impressed with the singer’s performance.
She said: “That was bellissimo, it was just beautiful. You know what I loved about that performance, is that it was so controlled and less was more and the intro was just as powerful as your big high notes, it was gorgeous.”
The public were just as smitten with the youngster’s performance and voted her through to next week’s show.
Tamera is the bookies favourite to be outright winner on X Factor with both Ladbrokes and Titanbet listing the youngster as 7/4 to take home the crown.
Tune into ITV this Saturday to see how she does in the next stage of the show.
