A teenager has been arrested following a series of bike thefts in Swanscombe.
Police say they arrested a 15-year-old boy from Swanscombe at around 5.15pm yesterday in connection with several reports linked to the theft, or the attempted theft, of bicycles and mopeds.
Individual bicycles are said to have been stolen from sheds in Lett Lane on Wednesday June 23 and Tuesday June 29, and a moped owner also reported seeing someone attempting to tamper with a lock in Butcher Walk on Saturday June 12.
The teenage boy has since been released pending further investigation and enquiries remain ongoing.
