Police hold traffic on A2 near Inn on the Lake

The A2 has reopened after it was closed in both directions near Gravesend .
The route was closed near the Inn on the Lake after a man was seen on a bridge above the route.
Highways England says delays could last until about 2.30pm but the route was reopened at about 1.15pm.
All traffic is being temporarily held from Valley Drive (Henhurst/Cobham Services) to Halfpence Lane (Cobham/Shorne/Inn On The Lake).
Earlier a police spokesman said: "Officers were called at 11.30am to reports of a distressed man on Thong Lane near the A2.
"Officers are at the scene and the A2 has been closed to ensure public safety."
The man was placed in the care of medics.
