Southeastern train delays in Dartford and Gravesend as trespasser reported near Swanscombe

A trespasser has been spotted on the railway this morning as police are called to apprehend a suspect.
The incident near Swanscombe at about 10am means train services are delayed between Dartford and Gravesend as emergency teams work to bring them off the tracks safely.
The line was reopened just before 11am and train services are returning to normal.
Services were affected between Rainham and Dartford with Southeastern warning the delays would remain in place until at least 11.15am.
Emergency services and response staff are reported to be on site.
Passengers were asked to use Fastway buses between Dartford and Gravesend while the police dealt with the incident.
British Transport Police have been contacted for more information.
It follows huge delays on all services heading into London Charing Cross due to a 5mph speed restriction being imposed in the capital.
