Volunteers have launched a trust to help raise money for the family of missing Sarah Wellgreen, whose ex-partner has been charged with her murder.

The Sarah Wellgreen Trust was set up by organisers of the Facebook page made to help find the 47-year-old.

It has a £50,000 goal with the "sole benefit of the family" in mind.

Sharon Brine, who helped set up the search group, said: "The reasoning behind the appeal was to support the family, especially Sarah's eldest son Lewis and her mum who are looking after the young children.

"It will help with the day to day care of the family who don't have their mum around. It's not a short term fix, it's a long term fix.

"It's not a charity for the family but a long term commitment and they deserve help.

"It will help Lewis care for his siblings. He's an incredible young man and his mother will be so proud with how he has been over the past couple of months."
