Two arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Haynes Road, Northfleet

Officers investigating a serious assault have arrested two people on suspicion of attempted murder.

Police were called to Haynes Road, Northfleet, at 5pm yesterday following reports of a disturbance.

They found a 17-year-old boy who had been stabbed.

He was taken to a London hospital by air ambulance where his condition is described as stable.

At around 6pm the same day, officers arrested a 24-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of attempted murder.

The suspects are both from Northfleet and are believed to be known to the victim. The investigation is ongoing.

The incident comes after a driver was stabbed after being attacked shortly after the car he was driving crashed into a wall in Northfleet on Friday night.

A black Jeep Cherokee collided with a wall on High Street, between Hive Lane and Factory Road, at around 11.40pm.
