Two men charged with burglary after cars stolen in Gravesend

Two men have been charged with burglary after cars were stolen from the town.

Harvey Turner, 19, and Tyler Haines, 20, were arrested after officers received reports of that a Ford Mondeo and a Range Rover were stolen from an address in Westfield Close, Gravesend, at around 2am on Tuesday. (January 8)

Officers were alerted when the Mondeo was seen in south east London, before the men made off from the vehicle.

Turner, of Beddington Road, Orpington, was charged with burglary and driving while disqualified.

Haines, of no fixed address, was also charged with burglary as well as racially abusing an officer.

The pair appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday.

They were remanded and will appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday, February 6.
