The early morning pursuit of a suspected stolen Mercedes on the A2 has led to two men being charged.
A resident in Snodland reported a break-in on Tuesday (August 27) where it was alleged the keys to the vehicle was taken from inside his house.
Police patrolling the A2, near Gravesend, in an unmarked car later spotted the car at around 5.20am and encouraged the driver to stop using their blue lights and siren.
However, the Mercedes allegedly kept driving towards London in a dangerous manner.
Officers later caused the car to stop and two men were arrested with the assistance of a police dog.
Kion Carter-Adams, of Hollydown Way, Leytonstone, Greater London, and Joel Adekunle, of Chingwell Road, South Woodford, Greater London, have since been charged on suspicion of burglary and theft.
Carter-Adams was also charged with dangerous driving.
The suspects, both aged 20, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday (August 28) where they were remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
