Gravesend: Two lanes of the A2 closed after collision

Two lanes of the A2 were closed due to a collision between two cars during rush-hour.
It blocked traffic London-bound between the A227 Wrotham Road and the A2260.
Highways officials said motorists travelling on the coastbound carriageway were also affected with queues stretching back towards M25 J2.
A police spokeswoamn said: "Kent Police is currently attending a report of a collision involving two cars on the Londonbound carriageway of the A2 near to the Pepperhill junction.
"Two lanes are closed while work is ongoing to recover vehicles."
