Anger after vandals' tyre-slashing rampage in Northfleet

Drivers have been left counting the cost after vandals went on the rampage, slashing tyres on parked cars in Northfleet.

Reports on social media suggest around 30 vehicles had their tyres slashed on Friday night in roads near the town's railway station.

Kent Police has confirmed it is investigating reports of damage caused to between 10 and 20 vehicles parked in Hamerton Road, Railway Street and Station Road, Northfleet, between 11pm on Friday and 9.30am yesterday.

Officers have attended the scene and inquiries are ongoing.

Residents commenting online expressed shock and anger at the attacks, and have appealed for people to check their CCTV in an effort to track down the culprits.
