A woman has posted a video on Facebook to warn other motorists after she saw a suspicious driver trying to flag people down on a busy motorway slip road.
Linda Hughes posted her dashcam footage online after she saw a man standing next to foreign car on the A2 coastbound at from Bluewater past the Merry Chest Cafe.
She posted: “So for months now I’ve heard about the suspicious car parked on various motorway slip roads, trying to flag down single drivers and today I actually saw them.

“Foreign car, passenger standing beside it in smart grey suit, driver still in his seat.”
Ms Hughes said she was aware of a scam where people at the side of the road try and stop passing motorists in an attempt to get money from them.
She added: “As described on every post I’ve read before he was very selective on who he tried to stop. I’ve heard that the purpose is to gain money through a sob story, but I didn’t stop to find out. My concern is their real motive.”
It is against the law to stop on a motorway unless you have had an accident or your car has broken down.
A police spokesman said: “Police were called at 1.27pm on Monday, November 14, to a report of a man attempting to flag down motorists on the A2 coastbound at Pepperhill.
“Officers attended and searched the local area but nobody was located. Details of the call have been recorded.”
