An elderly woman is still in hospital more than a fortnight after she was seriously injured in a suspected hit and run.
The pedestrian, who is believed to be in her 70s, was taken to a London hospital with a head injury after being hit by a car in Harmer Street, Gravesend, on Wednesday, August 23.
It happened at around 12.30pm and the town centre was at a standstill for much of the rest of the day, with police enforcing a number of road closures while they investigated.
Police have said that the woman remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Officers are also still appealing for people who saw the car in the moments leading up to the collision to come forward.
The red two-door Hyundai stopped on a pedestrian crossing near the junction with The Terrace, with visible damage to the windscreen.
Multiple eyewitnesses claimed to have seen three people run from the vehicle.
No arrests have been made.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 01622 798538, quoting reference AW/MS/186/17.
