Work began last week, with a large crane lifting sections modular sections of the building into place.
Prospective pupils and their parents were invited along to watch.
Head teacher Wayne Clayton, said: "We want to make sure children are ready for the start and future of their education.
"This is great for the community, the facilities offer the value and support I have for outside learning, DT and more."
Springhead will be run as a free school which are set up by an organisation or a group of individuals, funded by the government but not controlled by the local education authority.
It is part of the multi-academy Primary First Trust.
Trust chief executive Andrew Moorhouse said: "This school was originally meant to be finished in 2017 and is something the community is desperate for, so we were thrilled to find out we'd been given the permission to build a school in this area."
The modular installation of the building meant shipping container sized components were sent from Hull to the site in Springhead Parkway, near Gravesend, ready for plumbing and electricity.
The next steps include placing the modules and connecting the facilities.
The school is planned to open in September.
