Cruiserweight Cheavon Clarke impressed again with another stoppage win.
It’s two from two now for the 31-year-old from Gravesend since turning professional after a third round TKO victory against Pawel Martyniuk.
Saturday night’s win followed Clarke’s knockout victory in his pro debut against Toni Visic back in February.
Weekend opponent Martyniuk has shared the ring with some good fighters but had never been stopped before. That all changed after three rounds at the 02 Arena.
Clarke was shaken early on by the big Polish opponent but the Kent man fought back in the opening round with some powerful body shots.
Martyniuk’s early endeavour soon faded and he hit the canvas in the second round as Clarke took charge.
Clarke hurt him again early in the third round with an uppercut and Martyniuk took a knee for a breather as the Kent boxer looked to finish it early. When he went down on his knee again moments referee Lee Every waved it off.
Prior to the fight Clarke had been put forward by promoter Eddie Hearn as a potential opponent for YouTuber Jake Paul, who had claimed could beat any boxer that had under 10 fights.
Clarke was happy to take the fight, saying before Saturday, "he wants to fight a real boxer...I’d fight him."
