10:00, 03 August 2015

A fourth straight win for Hartley Country Club on Saturday kept them 16 points clear at the top of the Kent League Premier Division.

They batted first at Bexley and scored 225-5 in their 50 overs thanks largely to the efforts of opener Nick Hendrie (87 not out) and James Thompson (79).

Bexley were all out for 141 in reply, with Thompson and James Hockley both claiming three wickets.

Second-placed Beckenham kept up their pursuit of the leaders with a 21-run win at home to Lordswood.

Alexander Senn (58) and William MacVicar (100) helped Beckenham to 226-5 and MacVicar then took 4-22 as Lordswood came up just short at 205-9 despite 88 from Kent's Sean Dickson.

Blackheath are third, having swept struggling Folkestone aside at the weekend.

Folkestone captain Sam Ireland made 68 in their total of 180 all out but Tanweer Sikander helped steer Blackheath to a comfortable win, claiming 3-14 and then hitting 113 not out.

He was well-supported by Michael Thornley (53) as Blackheath strolled to 182-2 in 36 overs.

Being cut adrift with Folkestone are ninth-placed Sandwich Town, whose five-wicket defeat at the hands of champions Sevenoaks Vine has left them 38 points adrift of safety.

Sandwich won the toss, batted first and scored 226-8 but the Vine chased that score down with more than five overs to spare, John Bowden (125 not out) starring in their score of 230-5.

A brilliant century from 17-year-old Marcus O'Riordan helped Tunbridge Wells to victory at Bromley.

O'Riordan scored an unbeaten 107 in the Wells total of 278-6 and despite the best efforts of Shavawn Cunningham (97) and Freddie Wilson (70), Bromley came up short at 249-4.
