Dr Abdulla Al-Humaidi backs Steve Brown and insists there is no pressure on the Ebbsfleet United manager

Ebbsfleet’s new Kuwaiti owner believes manager Steve Brown is the right man for the job despite a poor run of results in The Skrill South.
Dr Abdulla Al-Humaidi, the man who has put £800,000 into the north Kent club, was at Stonebridge Road to watch his first Fleet game on Tuesday night.
A 2-0 defeat to Chelmsford meant Ebbsfleet have taken just eight points from a possible 24 since Brown was appointed.
Dr Al-Humaidi and KEH Sports Ltd gave Brown a £100,000 transfer kitty and an £8,000 weekly playing budget when they bought the club in the summer.
But the chairman is not demanding an instant return on his investment.
He said: “I’ve had a chat with Steve and there’s no pressure on him. The team has been playing well, it’s just converting the chances into goals that’s the problem.
“He’s done a good job in assembling a team quickly. I have faith in him and the players, along with the management.”
Dr Al-Humaidi also lent his backing to Fleet vice-chairman Peter Varney and insisted there were no immediate targets for the team to hit.
He said: “Setting milestones and not achieving them would have a negative impact on everyone.
“I trust Peter Varney and his way of conducting football business. He’s done a good job at Charlton Athletic and he’s done a lot in the past three or four months.
"If you look at the state of the ground, it’s improved a lot in a short period of time.
“Having the right people will get us results – not just on the pitch but off it.”
