Kuwaiti owner Dr Abdulla Al-Humaidi believes Ebbsfleet United will go all the way and win promotion through the Skrill South play-offs.

The Fleet chairman was at Stonebridge Road on Wednesday night and he watched Steve Brown's side beat Bromley 4-0 in the first leg of their semi-final.

Speaking to the media after the game, Dr Al-Humaidi said: "I’ve been here a couple of times and that was the best performance I’ve seen.

"They’ve reached the play-offs, won on Wednesday, so there’s nothing impossible. And with performances like that, I think they’ll pull it off and get promotion.

"They’re the same players (from earlier in the season) but now you can see the fighting spirit, you can see the passion and that makes a difference."

Dr Al-Humaidi admitted earlier in the season that he wasn't a fan of attending live games, but the atmosphere generated by the 1,693-strong crowd on Wednesday had him smiling at full-time.

"It’s amazing, to be honest," he said. "I wouldn’t substitute today for watching football on TV."
