Ebbsfleet's title push continues with another home game on Tuesday night.

Three days after their bad-tempered 0-0 draw with Hayes & Yeading at Stonebridge Road, the Fleet have another chance to stretch their lead at the top of National League South.

They entertain a Havant & Waterlooville side who have struggled for much of the campaign but struck twice in stoppage-time to beat third-placed Maidstone 2-1 on Saturday.

Ebbsfleet boss Daryl McMahon said: "They’re a very good team. I’m sure Lee (Bradbury) will say it himself, they’ve probably under-achieved, for where they are with the players they’ve got.

"He’s a terrific manager, I’ve got a lot of time for Lee and it will be a difficult game.

"We haven’t got any easy games. There’s no easy games at this level. If you’ve got one or two players off their game, top v bottom, it doesn’t matter."

Fleet can scarcely afford to drop more points at home with second-placed Sutton breathing down their necks having put together a 13-match unbeaten run.

Paul Doswell's side are 10 points behind Ebbsfleet but they will have three games in hand by the weekend, as will Maidstone who are just a point further back.

McMahon said: "They look after themselves and we look after ourselves.

"If we get our house in order and do what we should be doing, it doesn’t matter what anyone else is doing.

"There’s going to be strange results, wins, losses and draws across the board from the three teams."
