A potential play-off dress rehearsal lies in store for Ebbsfleet United this weekend.

The Fleet travel to Sutton United on Saturday, with both sides looking certain to finish in the Skrill South top-five.

In fact, neither club has been outside the play-off places in 2014 and Ebbsfleet boss Steve Brown knows how tough the game at Gander Green Lane will be.

He said: "It’s a big game and one we’re looking forward to. Sutton have the best defensive record in the league and they’re good at home but when we perform well, we can match and beat anybody in the league. Our mentality will be to go there and try to win that game.

"They potentially are a team we’ll face in the play-offs, if we get there. But I’ll concentrate on others once we’ve secured our spot.

"Games are ticking off, we’re picking up points and hopefully we’ll get there sooner rather than later."

Billy Bricknell scored both goals when Ebbsfleet beat Sutton 2-0 in the reverse fixture in December. That win at Stonebridge Road was their ninth in a row, a club record.
