Torquay 3 Ebbsfleet United 1
EBBSFLEET United's unbeaten run came to an end on Saturday as they were defeated 3-1 at high-flying Torquay in Blue Square South.
The home side, who lost Lee Phillips to a serious injury after just two minutes, went ahead 10 minutes before the break when Phillips's replacement Kaid Mohamed shot high into the net after good work by Chris Zebroski.
It was 2-0 in the 55th minute when Zebroski turned goalscorer to power a header from Tim Sills's cross past Lance Cronin in the Fleet goal.
Ebbsfleet gave themselves hope 18 minutes from time when substitute Raphael Nade headed fellow replacement George Purcell's centre home.
But the home side wrapped up the points five minutes from time when Mohamed bagged his second after a fine move involving Sills and Roscoe D'Sane.
