Ebbsfleet United manager Jamie Day considering a move into the transfer market with 14 of his players injured

Ebbsfleet’s horrendous injury list got even longer this week and manager Jamie Day may head back into the transfer market ahead of next Saturday’s game against Hemel Hempstead.
Day lost forward Tyrone Marsh to a hamstring injury ahead of Tuesday’s local derby against Bromley.
That meant he had no attacking players on the bench for a game Fleet lost 1-0.
Matt Johnson was named among the substitutes despite struggling with a shoulder problem, while Day was one of three players on the bench aged 35 and above.
Day said: "It’s difficult to change it when you’ve got the players that we’ve got available. They’re all similar types of players.
"Sean Shields was sick again before the game and we had to play him because we hadn’t got any other options.
"We want to get a few players back or we’re going to have to look to bring some more players in to bulk the squad up."
Among the 14 injured players in Day’s squad are strikers Matt Godden and Charlie Sheringham, midfielders Michael West and Dean Rance and full-back Joe Howe.
Day said: "Joe Howe is still three weeks away and so’s Alex Osborn, who’s an attacking player. Tyrone’s done his hamstring and he’s a couple of weeks, Westy’s not trained yet, Matt Godden’s not trained yet.
"We’ve got players there who can change games but if they’re not fit, you can’t play them.
"We’ve got a massive squad of players but half of them are injured. A lot of them are still three or four weeks away, possibly longer.
"We’ve had a lot of long-term injuries that you don’t normally get in the course of a season.
"When they get back to training, they break down again, and that’s the disappointing thing."
