In-form Ebbsfleet will make a significant move in the Vanarama Conference South title race this weekend if they win at Farnborough.

The division’s top two clubs, Boreham Wood and Havant & Waterlooville, are playing each other, while fourth-placed Bromley don’t have a game.

That means the Fleet, who start Saturday fifth – three points off the top – could be right in the mix by 5pm.

Manager Steve Brown said: "It would be nice to push ourselves on and get another win and start pressurising the guys at the top.

"It’s great that we’re winning games and scoring goals. It’s good for confidence.

"There’s just something about us in the last couple of weeks, where not only have we looked solid but we’ve been scoring goals.

"It’s all starting to gel nicely but we can’t forget that’s only one part of football. The other part is making sure we are prepared and in the right place physically to get these results."
