Ebbsfleet United striker Aaron McLean signs new contract

09:15, 26 June 2017

Aaron McLean has signed a new contract at Ebbsfleet United.

The 34-year-old follows Danny Kedwell in committing his future to the club, who will play in the National League last season.

McLean missed most of last season with a serious knee injury but returned for the run-in and started all three play-off games including the final against Chelmsford.

McLean arrived from Barnet in January 2016, signing an 18-month deal.

He has scored nine goals in 28 appearances for Fleet since then and is the fifth striker signed up for this season alongside Kedwell, Darren McQueen, Danny Mills and Bradley Bubb, who is recovering from a long-term Achilles injury.

The only member of Fleet's promotion-winning squad yet to confirm his plans for this season is Sam Deering. The midfielder has been offered new terms but is expected to sign for Billericay of the Bostik Premier when his contract expires on Friday.
