Ebbsfleet United goalkeeper Preston Edwards linked with local rivals Dartford

Preston Edwards has not ruled out a move to Dartford this summer although the England C goalkeeper is hoping to go back into full-time football.
Having spent the last three seasons with Ebbsfleet, the 23-year-old is set to leave Stonebridge Road following the Fleet’s relegation from Blue Square Bet Premier.
Dartford released goalkeeper Louis Wells last month and Edwards has been discussed as a possible replacement at Princes Park.
“You never know in football, anything can happen,” he said.
“I know the Ebbsfleet fans wouldn’t be too pleased but it’s my career and I need to play at the highest possible level.
“I’ve had a few people interested but nothing concrete as such. I’ve got to be patient and make the right choice, what’s best for me."
