Versatile Lloyd Harrington has joined Ebbsfleet following his release by Dover.
The 20-year-old defender/midfielder is working his way back to match fitness after missing almost all of last season with a cruciate ligament knee injury and has appeared for Fleet in friendlies against Charlton, Portsmouth and Thurrock.
Boss Steve Brown knows Harrington from his days as assistant manager and coach at Crabble.
He's happy with Harrington's knee and wants to help him get back to his best after a successful trial.
Brown said: “I had a cruciate ligament injury myself, which kept me out for 18 months, so I know what Lloyd is going through.
“You’re raring to go and your brain is telling you you’re OK but it can take three or four months to find your feet again.
“Lloyd openly admits he’s rusty but he has good potential.
“I know there was a lot of interest from other clubs. I've had managers phoning me to ask about him.
“I needed to know 100% that his knee is spot-on.
"He has enough potential for us to invest two, three, or four months giving him the right programme to get him fit."
