Ebbsfleet United boss Steve Brown expecting a response from his players when they travel to Gosport Borough in Skrill South

A disappointing return of one point from three games hasn’t dented Steve Brown’s belief that Ebbsfleet United will make the Skrill South play-offs.
Fleet were beaten 2-1 at Boreham Wood on Saturday and that result followed their defeat to Havant & Waterlooville and a draw with lowly Whitehawk.
There were angry shouts from some of the travelling fans at full-time on Saturday but Brown called for Fleet supporters to put the results into perspective.
He said: "We’re still in the play-offs so I don’t want it to become a reaction where everyone thinks there’s an amount of pressure on us. The real pressure is for teams to catch us.
"We’re in a better position than most. People have still got to fight to catch us. People have a tendency to get a little bit carried away when you lose a couple on the trot but if you look back over the last 10 games, we’ve had two losses and many wins."
Ebbsfleet are back on the road tonight (Thursday) for a trip to lowly Gosport Borough, who lost 4-0 in the FA Trophy final on Sunday but won 2-0 at fellow strugglers Tonbridge on Tuesday.
Brown said: "This team is more than capable of going win-win-win. You’ve seen it. We had nine straight wins earlier in the season.
"This team will bounce back and to ask me if I’m worried about it, I’m absolutely not worried about it, no. But I’ve got to make sure there’s a positive reaction on Thursday."
Yado Mambo is expected to miss the Gosport game but Osei Sankofa could return.
