Gravesend & Northflett v Barnet
GRAVESEND & Northfleet manager Andy Ford remains undeterred in his search for a striker, despite failing to land two prime targets.
Ford has disclosed he narrowly missed out on West Ham’s Greg Pearson and Justin Jackson at Hornchurch.
"We’re short of firepower and it was there for all to see in Tuesday’s 2-2 draw against Farnborough," said Ford. "I thought I had signed Greg Pearson from West Ham.
"I agreed everything with his agent and then the player went off to join Canvey. I tried for Justin Jackson, but again had no joy."
Ford is hoping top scorer Roy Essandoh recovers in time to face Barnet at Stonebridge Road on Saturday.
