A former Kent schoolboy has won the Italian league title with AC Milan.
Fikayo Tomori, who attended the Gravesend Grammar School, ended his first full season with the Italian giants by lifting the Serie A title with his team on Sunday.
The England international centre-back, now 24, was born in Canada, but raised in Kent and schooled at the Gravesend Grammar before heading to Chelsea full-time as a 16-year-old.
He signed permanently for AC Milan last summer in a deal worth £25m and has played 41 games for them this season, scoring a goal against Liverpool in their Champions League match in December.
That same month he returned to his old school to hand out some of his old shirts and meet some of his old teachers.
Headteacher Malcom Moaby said then: "Fikayo in so many ways is an inspiration to many in the school.”
Milan completed the title with a 3-0 win at Sassuolo. Oliver Giroud scored twice and Franck Kessie also netted for Stefano Piolo’s side.
Tomori played 81 minutes in central defence on Sunday, where he has been a mainstay of the team. He played more minutes for Milan than any other outfield player during Milan's title-winning league campaign.
