Former Gillingham midfielder Stuart Lewis aiming for play-off success with Ebbsfleet United against Whitehawk

Seven years on from helping Gillingham to play-off glory, Stuart Lewis is at it again.
The midfielder, who was named Ebbsfleet's player-of-the-year at the weekend, is gearing up for their National League South semi-final first leg away to Whitehawk on Wednesday.
Lewis was in the Gills team which knocked Rochdale out of the League 2 play-offs in 2008/09 before beating Shrewsbury in the final at Wembley.
He said: "They’re brilliant memories. We went away to Rochdale in the first leg and drew 0-0, came back to Gills and won 2-1. That feeling was brilliant and with the final at Wembley, it doesn’t get any better.
"There’s a lot of players in the (Ebbsfleet) squad that have experienced play-offs. I’ve won them with Gills so I’ll take that experience into the next week.
"The togetherness we had at Gillingham at that time and what we’ve got here will stand us in good stead. Going away first will mirror what I did with Gillingham."
Fleet finished 20 points ahead of Whitehawk in the regular season but that will count for nothing when the first leg kicks off in Brighton.
Lewis said: "You’ve got to take each game on its merit.
"The big thing for us at Gills and probably here is that we were in the game. We stayed in the game, 0-0 and then we came back to Gillingham and we knew we had them.
"We’ve been good away from home this year and if we can take that into the play-offs, we’ll be a massive threat."
