Ebbsfleet United goalkeeper Brandon Hall made his England C debut on Tuesday night.

Hall was originally on standby for the game against Estonia under-23s in Halifax but an injury to Hayes & Yeading No.1 Calum Kitscha saw him brought into the main squad.

England boss Paul Fairclough played Hall from the start at The Shay.

Goals from Omar Bogle (Solihull Moors), Harry Beautyman (Welling), Andy Yiadom (Barnet) and Kingsley James (Chester) fired England to a 4-2 win in the International Challenge Trophy clash.

Hall was replaced towards the end of the game by Colwyn Bay's Josh Ollerenshaw.

Since breaking into the Fleet side in September, Hall has played 12 times and kept seven clean sheets. His form is keeping Preston Edwards on the bench.

Last week, Ebbsfleet manager Steve Brown revealed that Edwards, a former England C keeper himself, is available for loan.

Brown said: "We've got a really good defensive mentality across the back-four and the midfield four. That’s 10 clean sheets in 16 (league) games across the season. Brandon’s an important part of that and now he’s got recognition.

"I’ve got two very good goalkeepers and I spoke to Preston before the game on Saturday. They both want to play and at the moment it’s Brandon’s turn. He’s keeping clean sheet after clean sheet and Preston will have to be patient.

"I understand that when either keeper is on the bench, they’re not happy and they want to play games.

"I imagine, as the days and weeks roll by, that a few clubs will come and take Preston on loan for a month."

Hall is the third Fleet keeper in recent times to play for England C. Lance Cronin was also been chosen to represent the non-league select XI during his time at Stonebridge Road.
