KEH Sports chief executive Peter Varney says Liam Daish left Ebbsfleet United so they could bring in their own people

Ebbsfleet's new owners have explained why Liam Daish has made way for a new manager at Stonebridge Road.
Daish left the club by mutual consent on Friday after meeting with Peter Varney, the chief executive of KEH Sports Ltd.
The Kuwaiti investment group vowed to build a new first-team squad when they went public with their offer to buy the club and that shake-up has extended to the dugout.
Mr Varney said: "We want to bring in our own people to move the club forward. It’s a serious situation (at the club), we talked it all through and decided between us that it was in the best interest if Liam did something else and we moved on.
"He was professional and conducted himself well. It’s nice when you can have an honest discussion and it doesn’t happen often in football."
