Ebbsfleet take their unbeaten away record to Eastbourne on Saturday hoping to extend their lead at the top of National League South.

They’ve gone four home games without a win but are peerless on the road, having taken 22 of a possible 24 points so far this season.

Some fans have called for Daryl McMahon to shake up his starting XI but the Fleet boss sees no need to tinker.

McMahon said: "People look into things far too much and it’s not really my style. I’ll analyse stuff in my own time.

"Last week, defensively, we made individual mistakes (against Wealdstone) but that back four and goalkeeper have been outstanding this season and they were terrific against Oxford last Saturday.

"If I was to put a different player in the back-four and he had a bad game, is that him discarded as well? It’s not how I work.

"You earn your shirt and at the minute, those boys have earned the shirts. They’ve got Acheampong behind them, chomping at the bit, desperate to get in. When he gets in the team, there will be the option to stay there as well.

"I’ll stick to what I believe in. We’re sitting at the top of the table so, as a group, we’ve made some pretty good decisions this season.

"I think the style of play has been exciting to watch. I’ve been here nearly two-and-a-half years now and I think this is the best team that’s been here in terms of the style and how they play.

"I believe in the group and I’ll make decisions I think are right to win games of football."

Eastbourne, whose squad includes former Fleet players Craig Stone, Ian Simpemba and Nathaniel Pinney, are 14th and haven’t won at home in the league since August.
